Ice Day

Today I got the day off because everything is coated with ice! One of the ladies said her husband was going to drive her to work, so they gave me the option to not come in. I'm betting they weren't really going to need my help today. It rained and froze yesterday, and has been sleeting pretty heavily all day. John Paul and I have just layed around all day. Played with the wii, watched tv, and surfed the net.

I know I haven't written in a while. It seems i'm too busy, but it's not really exciting enough to report on lol!

Last weekend we went to a gun show, flea market, and the home and garden show. They were all going on at the fairgrounds which is only about a mile away. We got a new rifle, and I got a sparkley bracelet from the flea market. Sunday, we took a day trip to Fayettville to see some of our friends. It was fun, but made for a kinda long day. It's a 2 hour drive, but we are still young and spontaneous right? lol

Moving to Houston is in the back of my head a lot, but there's not really any planning we can do right now so, it's going to just stay in back of my mind.

Hope all is well with you and yours!

Skiing

So, I survived and thrived while skiing!!

I got WAY better as the week went on. I was looking like a solid intermediate! John Paul's dad was really helpful. He skied with me most days. John Paul wanted to go ski in the woods or on scary stuff. I'm so not ready for that!

His mom decided to not to at the last minute which meant I was alone with boys only all week. His dad and brother are pretty nice guys so it was ok.

I took a day off from skiing, and while the boys skied at Breckinridge I shopped. I went into a hat store, and they totally loved my princess Leia hat there, and were interested in buying them. I'm working on some of the details, hopefully something cool will come of it!

I had to go back to work which was sad, but I'm staying REALLY busy because a weeks worth of stuff piled up for me while I was gone. I'm still liking it a lot, but will be looking forward to a new adventure in Houston in a few months. I'm not sure what that adventure will be yet, but it's going to be exciting!!

Mel- you asked for details about JP's job so here they are:

He's going to be working as a design engineer for an oil tools company. So, he's designing oil tools... that's about all we know right now. but it's a job, and for that we are thankful.

When we move my first job will be setting the house in order, then I'll hopefully find something. what, who knows!!

Christmas was great, all 3 times we celebrated it, but I'm really glad things are settled down again.
